Private Trust Corporations

The Isle of Man allows the use of a company as a private trust corporation where it does not offer its services to the public, without it requiring a licence. This is not the case in many jurisdictions.

This is particularly suitable where a family wishes to retain control of the way the assets are used and is popular with clients who wish to ensure that Sharia law is observed while still having the benefit of professional trust services. It can be viewed as a half way step to the establishment of a "family office".
