The Isle of Man Budget 2016
Today, Tuesday 16 February 2016, Treasury Minister Eddie Teare MHK delivered the final Budget of this current Government. He described the Budget as ‘fair and responsible’ and, indeed, there is nothing in the Budget that would excite or concern any of our clients or business introducers.
This Budget shows that the Government’s fiscal policies are working and that a status quo should be maintained to allow these policies to continue working.
The Isle of Man has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and has had continual growth for 33 years, the economy is also diverse and is not reliant on a single industry.
Sound regulation, robust legislation, competitive tax regime, supportive government, excellent professional services and infrastructure all demonstrate that the Island is still one of the best locations to settle assets securely, establish businesses and flourish.
